AEO is the practice of making a business or entity easier for AI systems like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI experiences to find, understand, cite and recommend accurately. It works through structural signals: schema markup, named entities, sourced content, consistent cross-platform data and verifiable identifiers.
What is the Two-Clock Model?
A framework distinguishing an entity's structural presence (what actually exists) from its AI perception (what language models currently believe about it). What is Trust Transfer about?
A 132-page paper on how credibility moves through networks, brands and AI systems, published on SSRN (abstract 7086358). It's being expanded into a full-length book.
Is this research peer reviewed?
Not yet. Both the Two-Clock Model and Trust Transfer are currently preprints, dated and publicly available on SSRN and Zenodo, but neither has gone through formal peer review at this stage.

A postcode-level water hardness lookup and pipe-material sizing tool for Australian plumbers, built under AISearch Global. It grew out of research and advisory work helping a plumbing client with AI adoption.
How is AI used in this work?
As an assistant, not a source of the ideas. AI speeds up drafting, research and structuring. It doesn't originate the synthesis, the arguments or the frameworks. Every AI-assisted piece under Mindful Machines Journal carries an explicit disclosure, kept separate from the writing itself rather than folded in.
