The Gaps
Capability → Adoption
Adopting a tool — buying it, rolling it out, mandating it — is not the same as it changing how work actually gets done.
Presence → Visibility
An organisation can exist online without being properly represented or understood by AI systems.
Automation → Trust
A system can technically perform a task without people necessarily trusting its outputs or decisions.
Information → Understanding
More information does not automatically create understanding.
Process → Function
A process can technically work while containing unnecessary friction, repetition or cognitive load.
Measurement → Insight
Data can exist without producing useful understanding.
