Centres on evidentiary trust infrastructure in an AI-mediated world — treating the beliefs both humans and machines form from incomplete, lagged or fragmented signals as legible, measurable and correctable, not opaque or assumed.
The Five Principles
Two Records
Every entity has two records that no longer converge automatically: what it structurally is, and what AI systems currently believe about it. The gap between them is real, persistent and actionable.
Trust as Structure
Trust is not sentiment, branding or a technical checkbox. It is a structural property shaped by identifiable signals and relationships. My work examines how confidence may be borrowed, earned, transferred and lost.
Opacity Is Failure
Black-box systems in consequential domains weaken the conditions required for calibrated judgement, accountability, appeal and oversight. Explainability and inspectability are prerequisites for justified reliance, not optional extras.
Psychology and Machine, Together
Automation bias, overtrust and undertrust, decision fatigue and vulnerability to another agent are treated as first-order concerns, not secondary effects.
Self-Auditability
A body of work arguing for transparency should itself be transparent. Knowledge claims must meet the same standard of auditability demanded of AI systems and organisations.

The Stance
Interventionist rather than purely critical or optimistic.
Close the measurable gaps. Restore the conditions under which trust can be calibrated. Make the resulting knowledge and tools available beyond specialist circles.
